For comfortable keeping of sheep in our sheep farms, we have built a spacious sheepfold, which ensures good air circulation, this is the main thing.
Sheep are kept in lagoons, that is, depressions, on fresh straw. Warm straw bedding allows them not to catch a cold even in winter. Although in the Crimean conditions there is a very warm winter, however, in Stavropol, Krasnodar, and Rostov, the winter there is a little harsher, so sometimes unforeseen situations related to this happen there.
To maintain the diet of sheep, we use grass for food in the summer, silage especially in the winter, haylage in the winter, plus bulky feed - hay, straw. Also, small cattle receive additional feed to the main diet. The feed does not contain any additives. On our farms the following breeds predominate:
These are very good breeds for meat production. Their weight ranges from 100 kg to 150 kg. They also produce a lot of wool.
We are very, very happy with our sheep population.
